About Us

Growco is a recognised Producer Organisation run democratically by its grower members who are all shareholders in the company. Growco is a service provider with five office-based personnel working for the growers and a roving QA manager.

Our seven growers are based in the UK providing British produce to our customers. The nurseries are located in Gilberdyke, Elloughton, Cottingham, Woodmansey, Beverley and Cherry Burton.

The growers provide conventional produce namely; cucumbers, round tomatoes, baby plum tomatoes and lettuce. 

Growco undertakes the marketing of these products with the aim of achieving a better position in the market place. Production is planned and adjusted to meet customer demands. We work daily with the growers, checking availability and working from our seasonal forecast and weekly crop forecasts which are relayed to our customers. Daily demands from customers are communicated and actioned.    

Logistics and transport are managed, along with the sourcing of trays and pallets, packaging and general administration including all financial transactions.

Quality assurance control is a vital part of our work, focusing on producing high-quality produce.

Growco is a recognised Producer Organisation on the Fresh Fruit and Vegetables Aid Scheme. Financial support is received from the Rural Payments Agency.
